[RELEASE] INVISI Final and 3D Dock Update

Recently I have finally posted AAA INVISI Final Lock.  For those of you that do not know, this is all the INVISI Locks merged into one package.  Here is a link to the cydia page:

New Theme Progress 5/2/10

I think that I've finally gotten an idea for my new theme.  It will be a mysterious and magical theme.  Check out this little draft I made in photoshop:

The icons are pretty much where I want them to be.  I think I will redo the wallpaper later.

[TWEAK] custom textfree tones

For a long time I've been enjoying custom tones on my textfree app.  I found out about this myself and I'm not sure if tutorials like this are available anywhere else.  Here's how you do it:

First you need a sound file that you want to use.  Make sure that you have the file exactly as you want it.  If you use a whole song, your ringtone will last for the whole length of the song.  I used WavePad to cut out a section of a song:

Next you need to make sure the file is the right type.  I recommend saving it as a .aif or .aiff file.  If you downloaded a custom tone online as an .mp3 or .caf, it will still work.

Next you need to import the file onto your ipod.  My favorite program to do this is i-funbox, but any program that can view and transfer iphone system files will work.  You need to find the textfree.app folder.  To do this go to /var/mobile/applications/xxxxxxxxx/textfree.app.  To find out what the "xxxxxxxxx" code is, I recommend using ifile or sbsettings:

Next you need to name the file correctly so that textfree finds it.  To do this scroll down until you find actual ringtones.  Find one that you do not need.  They will be named tone_xxxxx.caf.  Take that ringtone, click rename and copy the name:

Next you need to remove that file in someway.  If you want to keep it, you can back it up on your computer or change the name, but I usually delete it.

Next go to the ringtone you made or downloaded, click rename and paste the name you just copied:

Now respring and open textfree.  Now if you click the name of the tone you replaced, you will get your custom tone instead of the lame textfree standard ones.  Sorry but i currently do not know how to change the name you see within the app.

New Theme Progress

More bad news

After the gloom news that I will be removing METI, I come to you guys with more news of removal.  When I send an email to iphonerepocenter to have the INVISI Locks removed, I will also be asking for the removal of two of the snowcover themes.  These themes are just plain stupid.  Both of theme received only 6,000 downloads a piece.  The two that I am removing are red swirl and blue abstract.  Both of these themes fail to be an original idea.  All they do is add a wallpaper to a plain snowcover.  There are much better snowcover themes out there for you to download.  Just look around.  I will be keeping the newspaper one just because I think it is kind of funny to look back at the lame idea I had.

AAA METI Complete: The End

I have thought long and hard about this, and have finally reached a conclusion.  I will no longer be updating AAA METI Complete, as i had previously stated.  AAA METI was sort of the complete theme that brought me into the world of themeing.  I started creating it for myself as a mixture of many themes.  My friends convinced me that it was a great mix and that it should be released on Cydia.  Thanks to them I have gone above and beyond and started to create my own themes.  Some of you may wonder why I don't just keep it up and leave it alone.  The reason is that this theme is "stealing" from other themers of greater skill than me.  Let the files that they make remain in their theme and only their theme.  As of now it is my only complete theme in Cydia, so it will remain there until my next complete theme is released.  As soon as i release my "great" complete theme, I will remove METI.  That means that it probably will still be up there for another month or two, but eventually it will be taken down.  For those of you that were expecting an update, I apologize, but I feel that this is necessary to give "professional themers" the glory to their own theme.

INVISI Fix. Here's how it's going to go down.

If you are currently a user of any form of INVISI Lock, I recommend that you read this.

If you have more than one of the INVISI Locks installed on your device, you may have noticed that they failed to update, back when I released an update.  Because of this I will be releasing a fix.  I am also taking advantage of this situation to limit the number of AAA themes on Cydia.  Everyone already knows that Cydia is overflowing, so taking themes off never hurts.  Here's what I'm going to do:

As soon as the new package is ready, I will submit it to Cydia.  This new package will contain a few themes:

INVISI Lock (must be turned on to have any other options work properly.  This is merely the original INVISI Lock)

INVISI Passcode REMIX (this is part of the remix theme that makes the squares for passcode entry invisible.  When this is in use it must be placed above INVISI Lock on your winterboard list)

INVISI Tap (This is just a simple invisible tap to unlock that was released in the INVISI Taps.  This theme will just replace the invisible slider with a transparent tap to unlock.  If you plan to use this theme, make sure to place it above INVISI Lock on your winterboard list.)

INVISI Cancel  (Back when INVISI Lock REMIX was released, the only thing that wasn't invisible was the cancel button.  This theme makes the cancel button invisible, but still functional.  This theme must be placed above INVISI Lock when in use.) 

My guess is that this theme will probably be in Cydia by next weekend, but looking at how slow iphonerepocenter has been with releasing themes (ps3), it may take a little longer.  About a week after this theme is released I will be REMOVING ALL PREVIOUS INVISI LOCKS.  Yes that's right,  all other INVISI Locks will be removed from Cydia.

Wallpaper Page

Some of you may have noticed the wallpaper page above a while ago while it was still "under construction."  My original idea was to have a page where I could post all my favorite wallpapers.  When I thought about it a little more I realized that there are already a ton of pages like that and the iphone community does not need any more of them.  Instead I transformed it into a page where I could post wallpapers that I have made.  As time goes on, I continuously watch new photoshop tutorials to learn a little more and to make some pretty cool effects.  Sometimes when I get bored I decide to watch a tutorial and make it into an iphone wallpaper.  Feel free to download and use all the wallpapers however you want.  However, please do not post them on any other site (I will do that) and if you use them in a theme, please credit me.  Thank you

Playstation Theme

After a long delay, my playstation theme has finally been submitted.
You can expect to see it up in cydia within the next two days. Most
likely Monday afternoon. The theme is not complete so I sugest that
you combine it with another theme such as AAA Meti. As soon as it is
actually released I will make a post with all the details of AAA
Playstation PS3, but in this post I would like to tell you guys a
little aboutthe heart of this theme.

Why this theme is special to me:

So far this theme is the cloasest thing to a complete theme that I
have made without stealing from other themes (before it was the invisi
locks). It is also the first theme that I expiremented with auto-
create icons and iwipecache. I had tried doing this a little in the
ibox icon sets but it hadn't really worked. Finally, I have learned a
TON about Photoshop in the process of making this. Now that I have
made this theme, I think that I finally have the skills it takes to
make my "great and unique" complete theme.

Why I dislike this theme:

The worst part of this theme is that it's not a theme that just thes
one part of your idevice (like a lockscreen theme or icon theme) and
neither is it a complete theme. Instead it just themes random parts of
the UI that I wanted to theme. Another problem with this theme is that
it really doesn't look that good. I made it with the intentions of it
looking really nice and have a nice ps3 feel to it, bu that didn't
come through in the final product.

Overall, I hope that you guys enjoy this theme and are excited for
upcomeing themes.

What's been going on and what's going to happen soon.

You may have noticed that I have failed to add posts recently and have failed to submit my PS3 theme.  Do not worry, the PS3 theme is on its way.  The reason for all this is that I have become very busy and will be for the next couple months.  Here are some pics of the PS3 theme which will hopefully be in cydia by this weekend:
